Dining and living room

  • Living room should be in the Uttar disha (North) or Poorav disha (East zone) of the home.
  • Do not create a living room in the Nairuti kona (South-West zone) of the home.
  • It is strongly recommended to make a conscious effort to face the positive side i.e Uttar disha (North) or Poorav disha (East) at all times.
  • The head of the family and other senior family members should sit facing the Uttar disha (North) or Poorav disha (East) during discussions.
  • The guests and visitors should face Paschim disha (West) or Dakshin disha (South).
  • Uttar disha (North zone) and Poorav disha (East zone) windows should be kept open for maximum time so that positive energies flow into the home.
  • Ideally, the windows towards the Dakshin disha (South zone) and Paschim disha (West zone) should be kept closed for maximum time.
  • The mirrors should be installed on the Uttar disha (North zone) or Poorav disha (East zone).
  • Do not place beds, sofa, office desk below over-head exposed beams, so that you do not sit / sleep below the over- head beams.
  • Do not install paintings or pictures or statues depicting singular woman, wild animals, sadness, deserts, statue of elephant with downward trunk, pathjhar, taj-mahal, dry flower arrangements etc. Install good pictures and posters which display happiness, bloom, liveliness etc.
  • Place heavy furniture and cupboards in the Nairuti kona (South-West zone) of the living room.
